Shahpura (Manoharpur) is the head seat of the Shekhawat Clan of Rajput's and the famous Shekhawati derives its name from it. It is named after the founder ruler of Shekhawat Maha Rao Shekhaji and the Manoharpur Shahpura Family takes pride in being direct descendent --- from Maha Rao Shekhaji.

As one drives past the town on the left of the road towards west of the highway leads to the Garden Palace. Set amidst green surroundings this place is typical of Shekhawati, and 200 years old created by Rao Hanuwant Singh. His successor, Rao Dhir Singh, expanded the garden palace into an orchard and gave the buildings at Shahpura a face lift. He also restructured and refurnished their old palatial house in the Pink City - Jaipur, into a Heritage Hotel namely SHAHPURA HOUSE.

The rooms at Shahpura House are very much like the ones that were used by the royalties of Shahpura family. Spacious rooms with elegant colonial furniture, along with all modern amenities having their own individual character. Most of them are air - conditioned and all have attached bathrooms.

HOTEL SHAHPURA HOUSE has been known for its cuisine and culture over the last 40 odd years and has played host to many dignitaries & is being admired for its delicious lunches and dinners with ceremonial evenings.

The restaurant has some beautiful Shekhawati frescos arched windows and intricate wall designs. Maintained well the restaurant provides the right atmosphere and allows the visitor a glimpse into its magnificent royal past.

Candle-Lit dinners on the terrace in the evenings are specially enjoyable under the stars while the musicians entertain and enchant the guests.
